How to Apply

Student Nomination Packets are sent to every public, private and parochial school district in the state. The number of nominees each district may submit is based on their junior class enrollment. Students must be nominated by their school districts or private schools to apply. Applications may be picked up in the school guidance office in mid-November. Students will compete at the district level as well as the state level. Approximately 1,700 applications are received at the state level, with 1,000 selected to attend.
